08/12-Present – Consultant / Web Developer

● Developed software in ASP.NET/MVC 4/WebAPI, JQuery and Typescript

● Helped to write a client-side framework in Typescript and contributed definitions to the

open source Definitely Typed project

● Helped to write a full-stack framework on top of MVC 4, with code-generation, to

automate the workflow from database schema definition to repository and service

layers, all the way through to client-side models and clients

● Did extensive reporting for several clients using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

● Wrote complex SQL queries, using joins, subselects, grouping and other techniques to

build complex reports for clients, saving them valuable time and money, while giving

them deeper insight into their business

08/11-08/12 Web Developer

● Worked on a team which rolled out the first public beta of RedFlag

(, a Facebook application for parental monitoring

○ Used Ruby on Rails for the front-end

○ Used Node.js for two backend processes

○ Implemented Test Driven Development using Cucumber and Rspec for Rails and

Jasmine-Node for the Node processes

● Helped launch a student disabilities accommodations management web application for

● Programmed Siemens S7 PLC and Eaton ELC controllers and developed HMI

applications for various product lines

● Deployed cost-effective software including OpenERP for the company’s ERP system and

Umbraco for web content management

● Designed and implemented lean manufacturing business processes

● Managed a team to develop the initial product lines which are still in production today

● Directly interfaced with customer purchasing departments and engineering

departments to ensure that their specifications were met, to effectively manage their

projects, to ensure satisfaction, and secure future business

● Provided technical sales support to outside sales team

● Created cost-benefit presentations for customers quantifying, in dollar figures, the

advantages of our products over competitors

● Identified opportunities for value-added options and upgrades on customer projects

● Repaired iPhones and computers

● Wrote an iPhone application that sold in the Apple App Store

03/03 – 06/08 WorldFab, Inc. – Project Manager / IT Director

● Oversaw a network of twenty workstations

● Developed a custom manufacturing management system in C# on the .NET platform,

using SQL Server as the database management system

● Wrote various interfaces to the management system in Ruby on Rails

● Wrote CNC programs for a waterjet cutting machine and a turret punch

● Managed multimillion dollar projects within the company’s core line of business

● Cultivated talent in employees, training and them moving them into positions where they

were most effective
